To get currency into the treasury most real estate in the Bariloche to San Martin to El Bolson area was sold to foreigners. Argintina has stopped granting titles to Americans and wants their real estate back. Now to apply for a title the law requires you to have at least 2 years of permanent residency, which follows 2-3 years of temporary residency.

Soeaking from experience, this information is not correct. Argentina is still granting "zona Seguridad" to foreigners.
