Argentina, officiallt the Argentine Republic, is a nation located in Latin America. It was a former colony of the Spanish Empire during the 16th century, just like much of South America and the Philippines.

It's a dominantly Catholic nation, with 93% of its population declaring that they are Roman Catholics. Argentina is one of the best football teams on the world, winning the World Cup twice and an Olympic gold once.
