buenos aires The Spanish Way Language School Interview
Name of your website?

The Spanish Way- Language School

Your name?

Pamela Freire Rada

Your Location (city, etc)

Buenos Aires

Please give us a short summary of your website?

The website provides all the information (English and Spanish)for those who wants to travel to Buenos Aires Argentina. There is information about the School, the courses (and levels), the prices. Also, information about the accommodation options. There are some links with information about the city and the country, and basic information to travel around. The link I like the most is the Testimonies, as they show the experience our former students had at The Spanish Way.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Well, as the owner of the School, I always tried to show the essence the School. This is the third website I have. The new thing here is the Spanish Version. I wanted to be colorful, as I think thatīs the experience the Students get here. A hard work learning Spanish, but also, finding friends and having fun.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

2001. http://www.madaboutspanish.com 2003. http://www.spanishimmersion.com.ar

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I was thinking that learning Spanish in Buenos Aires, was not only a language course, but also a path in the Argentinean culture. Thatīs why I started playing with words like path or the final one "WAY". The Spanish Way, is a path where you will learn so many more things than the language!

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

The Spanish Way is a small school. So when the student arrives to the country and we pick him/her up from the airport, he/she starts to be part of our family. This means we are here for him/her 24 hours per day. And when we go out with our local friends they come too. He help them to enjoy the experience here in everything they need. For a better idea, please read their testimonies!

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

My goal is to have an enough big School, to have a comfortable living, but not that big, that students start to be just numbers.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Till now every minute of my life was perfectly invested.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, of course. Thatīs why I wait till I was prepare to make the Spanish Version.

What has been your biggest challenge?

When I started the School, to sit and believe I will get students over the Internet. Specially to convince my family and friends it was possible.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Time... A good webmaster, not only related to the design. And googleads.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

This website is quite new. Four months. In all these years of having the School, Iīve learned that ranquing and traffic takes time. And I have plenty of it.

What is your website address?

The Spanish Way- Language School
