When you think of vineyards and major vine producers the first place that comes to mind is usually France.
Argentina is actually another producer of wine. The Malbec blending grapes used in Argentinian wine did originally come from France but they did so well in the climate that they became a favorite.
Many fine wines like chardonnay and cabernet are made in argentina, but the simple malbec is the specialty. It is that wine that put Argentina on the map of the wine world.
